Hello and welcome, you curious mind, to the beginnings of Wolverine Blockchain, a new, interdisciplinary kind of blockchain education and career development organization.
If you’re interested in new ways of organizing people, resources, and information, then you have found your way to the right location. Whether you hardly know what a blockchain is or you could write a paper on different consensus mechanisms, we will help flesh out visions and curiosities. From entrepreneurship, design, and cryptography, to using new protocol-based tools, we enable your exploration and learning experience in a way that’s tailored to college life.
With a network of venture capitalists, decentralized science experts, protocol engineers, and project managers, WBC extends a growing network into the hands of the next generation. With monthly presentations from the best and brightest (feel free to add our calendar!) and working groups, we provide the ideal social and technical space for anyone to come, eat great food, and embrace their own inner fool in the pursuit of higher knowledge.
No, really, welcome to the club, we here at WBC feel that club applications are at odds with the ultimate goal of educating the campus community and creating a pro-social, interdisciplinary club — the only requirements to join are reading WBC 001–004 and swinging by for our mass meeting (which you’ve probably already attended!).
We value diversity of experience and mind – what good is a group of problem solvers if they only attack a problem from one vantage point? Besides, once you run through our set-up process, WBC bases your level of membership on contribution and participation, setting up a baseline and different “levels” to make your experience with us a bit more gamified. We’ll go over those rules in another article, but for now, read our WBC 002 covering the “big three” initiatives at the core of our organization:
